That's good that you already have coverage. What's IHS?

Looks great since its pretty much free, and apparently its cool for mayors to smoke crack and bitches to sell pussy on the strip, and the raptors killing niggas on the court. We winning.

Canadian Healthcare FTW.

some dude on reddit posted about how he got charged $50,000 for an appendectomy and Medicaid paid for about $40,000 of that, leaving him with like $10-11,000 in debt for a one-day stay.

bruh...i had an appendectomy and got a bill for $10 for watching cable tv in my room for the same length of stay, plus a week for a nurse to come to my house and change my bandages everyday and empty my fluid pouch. Could've gotten another week of the nurse but I wanted to get back to school.

You can't even get a Sub w/ the chips and drink for that much.

The last two clinics i've been working at have been in Hispanic neighbourhoods here in Chicago. I'd say about 90% of the ones that come in have some form of healthcare. Mostly BlueCross.

They were co-paying anywhere from $20-$60 for their checkups at the Family Medicine Clinic I was working at. Of course, the cost of the visits were anywhere from $95-$140 just to see the doctor, not including the blood testing, glucose testing, the urine dipsticks, the urinalysis, etc. Those all ranged anywhere from $10 per to $40 per. Those bills were easily running up to $200+ just for a visit or followup.

Just 5 years?

Seems like it's been going up a lot longer than that.

It's definitely been at least 5 years though.

Indian Health Services.

They pay for healthcare but only if you go to certain facilities. They are really bad down in the states, but luckily my city has the one IHS funded hospital that is on the same level as other big hospitals.

If you go to a IHS hospital anywhere else it is probably going to be a shitty experience.
