Yeah i was super hesitant about this movie. Thought this was just going to be a money grab remake, but it looks like they took good care of this. From the trailer at least. So far, I'll be seeing this in theaters. Think ill bring my mother as well since she let me watch the original at 4 years old, traumatizing me for most of my childhood.

Nah. Just two nights when it originally aired. I was like 8 when I saw it and even now that shit creeps me out. I remember I had the dvd too. It was one of the first ones I had that had two sides to it.

The build up to Ghost Georgie/Eater of Worlds yelling "You'll float too" all maniacally was a nice touch. If this movie succeeds in doing what it must it could be a classic.

The novel has outright terrifying shit all over it. Especially the section where they're kids. Like if they show that one bully's death the way he described it in first person in the book then oh boy...

Nobody blows anybody. The boys just run a train on the girl. Then they forget. Until they grow up and come back to Derry, remember and go: "WE DID WHAT?!?!"

Now that there are no TV censor limits they could finally show Pennywise rip off Georgie's arm and leave him bleeding out to death by the gutter much to the horror of the kid's neighbors.
