Worldstar fell off at the moment when I wasn't there for 3 months and it never crossed my mind to get on. If I do it now, it's for the vine and fight compilations.

I still check wshh everyday. I never went on that site to check for unsigned rappers and shit. I just want to be entertained, I don't care about its roots in Hip Hop, or street interviews or any of the shit you named. If I don't want to watch something, I skip over it.

1st morrisvideosonline.com was the first wshh type website ... onsmash.com was either second or popped up around the same time as morrisvideosonline ... but onsmash stuck to hip hop and mostly underground hip hop with a spec of mainstream ish ... morrisvideosonline was the wshh prototype imo because it featured the good clips off of tv shows or bootlegged good sitcoms that were currently on cable to thier site and they had the fight or internet viral videos before anyone even used the word viral lol ...

This site single-handedly brought the underground/up and comers/little guys back to the forefront. They didn't just give them a little space in the corner of their website with a little promo. They put them front and center and even mixed in some mainstream shit to help get them noticed.

well back then there were only a handfull of artist in the know about wshh back than ... and even then they were chargeing artist ... most didnt recognize thier power for promo but i did ... and i was getting placement from Q originally for $60 per video in the matter of months dude was asking for $300 per video placement ... no telling where its @ now ... this was back in like 2006 or earlier not sure ... but you see so much underground unknowns because most artist today know about wshh and its promo potential ... cats are spending that $2k just to get the top spot ... trust everything on that site is paid for .... i wouldnt doubt that mainstream artist have budgets open with wshh ..... i remember even nore getting pissed @ q for not posting thier videos aka Q WANTED $$$$$ but nore didnt want to pay based on his established history in the industry ...... worldstar never gave folks good slots just cause .....

but worldstar is and was bound to fall off based on the fact that it operates soley off of HIT videos and paid placements .....

but i will say imo wshh help expose nipsey hustle to the world ... thats where i first seen dude @ ... and imo dj khaled can dedicate alot of his success because of the promo he used to get off of wshh back in the days him and his whole team alll the way down to ross used to get heeavy promo off wshh .... same with gucci ... cause gucci likes to drop alot of videos and he used to drop like 3 @ a time .... and cant forget jordan towers ... it was more of a music video movement ... than interviews and bs like that ... oh yeah wiz khalifa used to do alot of instudio ish off wshh back than too before he really took offf .... just be him dolo in the stuff showcasing music and blowing heavy green ....

and as far as unsigned artist ... it would be just good local promo .. since every1 goes to wshh .... folks would easily run accross you vid .... we def got alot of feedback from being on wshh ... its been many of times we just be out @ a random spot and folks be like yall them dudes that was on wshh ..... wshh damn near has the same impact as tv .... @least it used too not sure if it still has that same impact especially now that its real saturated with alot of underground unsigned PAID bs ......

We've gotten used to Worldstar. I took a year break from that shit because they showed the same shit. Now everybody use WSHH to try to get put on. That's really the only thing I don't like about WSHH. Other than that, Worldstar ain't too bad.

Sometimes, they show the harsh realities of life aka ghetto nigga shit.

How about World Star doesn't exist at all, that the masses don't think that Hip-hop or black culture is only the stuff of ignorant motherfuckers. Money, and like cuzzo said in here a few post back, probably sold most of it and don't really pay attention to it anymore. Q probably got the "big head" too. That site is a shell of it's former self, they don't even be having exclusives on shit anymore.
