It amazes me the Lack of History people have when it comes to Will Smith. Is he a Great? Of course he is. He's a Legend in the game. 1st his Classic LP "He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper" was one of the highest selling albums for a rapper in the 1980's, Will and Jeff were going Platinum and only LL, Run DMC and Beasties could say the same. "Big Willie Styles" is one of the highest selling rap albums ever at 9x Platinum. He won the 1st rap Grammy and didn't accept the award cause they didn't televise it which changed the rules.

He has several Classic songs including "Parents just don't understand, Summertime, Girls ain't nothing but trouble, Nightmare on My Street". Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song was the 1st time in History a rap song was a prime time television show theme song. That intro is a Classic rap song. Through Rap will was able to have a TV Show and Rule Hollywood so he conquered Music/TV/Movies. So again for a guy to come from Hip Hop which birthed him and to be the Top Star In Hollywood over the likes of Tom Cruise? Yea he's a great all right, he's a damn Legend.

Oh Yea, Big Willie is back on Top "MIB 3" just dethrone the Avengers for #1 at the Box Office. People be sleeping on Will's catalog cause he's a rapper that didn't say "Bitch" or "Fuck" on every other track. Will is a PG rapper but he has bangers. "Big Willie Style" is actually a solid album with some good tracks. Sure NaS helped out with the pen but the songs came out dope especially these two tracks:

In 50 years even if no one remembers a single song they will still be airing this show and its GOAT theme song

Even British whites know that shit

Will is definitely an all-time great. For some reason, dudes don't want to give him his due. They cherry-pick two songs out of his catalog that they don't like, and use it as a excuse to front on him. But you can't reference rap's Golden Era without mentioning him and Jazzy Jeff. Their first three albums hold up against almost any album from the mid to late 80's.

Daum right Hes A great...

Not only is Code Red and his Fresh Prince stuff classic, but Big Willie Style and Willennium are classic to, had Camp Lo and MC Lyte on his joints... Wild West was wack though lol

I agree with others saying he's great...He made a few classic tracks a classic TV show...and went on to become a really good actor..he's pretty much done it all
