sure and the 80's and 90's have been more creative than this decade of Rap music and hiphop culture. Hiphop culture as whole is fading, sure less segregation and all people from all walks of life are merging peacefully thats good but the people at the top want nothing to do with black. Hey he can't help who follows....Hip hop is very trendy so if people see a style and they like it, it will get copied. But homie hip hop will never be what it used to be and imo its at its finest cuz its now room for EVERYTHING. U got ur backpackers, u got ur rappers with a cause, trap rappers, pop rappers, etc. Contrary to what people think ALL of this is good for hip hop because it expands it. the more it expands to more it leaves room for something else creative to come thru the door. All genre's had a starting point and as it progressed something new was added to the game helping it grow. The more it grows the more it is accepted

Ye was never a straight up Hip Hop guy hes always dabbled in British Trip Hop and Chicago style House music and stuff like. They signed him to Roca Fella in 2002 just to throw him a bone as a favor for cranking out so many bomb ass tracks for Jay's classic BLUE PRINT album! The Roc didnt even know what to do with him, and they didnt even promote the College Drop out. Kanye financed HIS OWN VIDEO with Through The Wire his first hit and it took off from there!

Kanye and The Neptunes and Will I Am are all LEFT FIELD producers that approach hip hop very differently from the Gangsta Crunk or Trap up from the street stuff. What happened was Hip Hop as we knew it ran out of ideas and Starting running to these wacky NERDS and they start producing HITS!So if you are criticizing YE now you make it sound like he was some Rick Ross or T.I street shit and then flipped. The dude was already out there! just like the Neptunes and Will I Am are just the left of the hip hop spectrum!
