Ya'll not paying attention.. Dave East just dropped an album today.. Don Q dropped Corner Stories reloaded last week.. Cardi B's son is running up the charts.. A Boogie's album will be out soon.. There is quality music coming from NY but y'all too busy comparing whats coming out to the golden era.. That time has passed.. Appreciate what the current cars are doing.. Because is actually some good music coming out of the city..

Cardi B is looking to be Statue of Liberty for New York Hip Hop revival

Cardi B is this year’s Desiigner who was the year before Young MA, who was the year before Bobby Shmurda.

NY rap as we know it is done.. the subject matter is redundant and the beats are garbage. The fans don’t help because they keep looking for a next Jay Z.

NY held it down from 73-03.

What other region has a 30 year reign?

That's a negative. Y'all reign ended with the prevalence of gangster rap in L.A. When Pac died y'all entered a power struggle with the South. Due to Atlantas capacity to put out new artist every 2 weeks, y'all didnt regain control of the genre. So I give y'all 73-til maybe 90/91.

L.A. did too. NY reign was over once it was met with competition.

Where's that nosign button when you need it?

Shortly after Pac died No Limit came through and took over. Followed by Cash Money. The West was quiet I admit. And the East was trying to keep up with the South.
