Snoop is a bonafide legend in the rap game but its not necessarily strictly because of his music. Hes an average rapper with great charisma which has helped carry him to the status hes at today.

Snoop is a legend. He is a brand and house hold name. He sells a lifestyle and his music reflects that lifestyle. He is not going to wow you with jaw dropping lyrics but he will put out good music.

Overall on a scale of 1-10 his catalog is about a 7 which is better then most in the game.

His weakest albums are The Doggfather, The Game is to be Sold...., Paid the Cost...., everything after Paid the Cost have been solid albums.

Snoop is legend I think most agree on that but the last 2 albums he put out Ego Trippin' & Malice n' Wondaland is straight up trash. Snoop ain't really made a album worth really listening to since "The Blue Carpet Treatment" I started to get his new one but after the last joint he put out I said fuck it.

I know it was a huge disappointment when it first dropped no doubt i think folks was expectin a Doggystyle 2 but its still solid nonetheless

Why do folks keep mentioning how wack Malice was (which wasn't even a real Snoop album, just some shit thrown together for that MTV special) but don't mention very good his latest release, Doggumentary, was?

Anyway, he is a legend in the game for a lot of reasons. People act like Snoop only has one great album (Doggystyle is actually a classic) but that's far from the truth.

The same exact sentiments can be sad about Jay Z too (dont give me that WTT nonsence either, Kanye carried that shit) but it's funny cuz when people try to point the same thing out about Jay's Heartless delivery, wack subject matter, overwelming boring "FOrever Young" type of shit...people just dismiss it cuz the man got alotta money.
