Is Snoop overrated???

No he isn't. He has what Luda, Em, Wayne, TI,etc doesn't have "a true classic in Doggystyle". He also has a bunch of hits, longevity, and some good albums in his catalog (Blue Carpet Treat, No Limit Top Dogg, and The last meal).

I think Tilie can surpass him with a better catalogue, if he stops fuckin' around with Roberts Williams buddies with Ross buddies. Luda is inconsistent, so is wayne. Ya, snoop got hits, but he also has too many weak albums IMO, like 70%.

Snoop is a legend. He is a brand and house hold name. He sells a lifestyle and his music reflects that lifestyle. He is not going to wow you with jaw dropping lyrics but he will put out good music.

Overall on a scale of 1-10 his catalog is about a 7 which is better then most in the game.

His weakest albums are The Doggfather, The Game is to be Sold...., Paid the Cost...., everything after Paid the Cost have been solid albums.

Snoop Dogg is an undeniable legend and it has very little to do with his rap talent alone. I don't think anyone rates him high as far as rap goes. He's a nursery rhymer.

Not sure I'd say Snoop is relevant in terms of the actual music. I might go so far as to say that hasn't been relevant in that way for years.
