Jay not responding to game and beans lyrically is definitely cowardly, cos they cud give him competition

it isn't if the artist sending for you is just doing so in an attempt 2 make a name 4 himself

but most cats that send shots @ Jay are trying to make a name for themselves or promote their albums

its the new Jay-Z blueprint ... jay is a coward who wouldnt step up to competition such as Game.. who i think would slaughter Jay .. and Beans..

i dont give a fuck if a nigga tryna make a name of you or not, if a nigga go atchu.. you slay that nigga.. aint no way he can make a name off you if you make him look like a fool ...

i swear man, these rappers of today have confused the generation who take in their music .. these niggas will say..

"i got money"

"i wont let him/her make a name off me"

"i dont wanna give him/her publicity so i wont say no names"

nah fuck that! i remember when if a nigga came atchu, big or small.. famous or not.. you slaughtered that nigga for bein such a fool for thinkin he could even compete..

when i see niggas like Jay-Z .. i think of weakness ..

now i aint talkin about hood shit, like havin real hood beefs.. cause that could lead to niggas gettin killed..

but fuck in music its too many softies and the shit has circulated down to the people..

these rappers training men to be boys and women to be bitches..

i'll always stand by the fact that disses today need to be taken into context of who is saying what about who and where they are at in the game

I didnt always have these feelings, and wish it wasnt this way, but too many cats now adays throwing stones and dissing for no reason but to better themselves.

I never think you should back down from a diss or beef b/c "You have too much to lose"

Honest question, you're a senior in high school, everyone respects you. And a freshman steps to you trying to earn a name for himself talking shit. What's better, to shut down a lil' freshman, or to laugh at this nigga like "yo...go home son."

I don't know at some point you reach a status where you seriously don't have to. Jay-z already did the beef thing. He is past that. I don't have a problem with him not responding. I would like him to but its not necessary. Beefing on wax is for people who trying to get a name for themselves or who have a grudge. Established rappers like Nas, or Jay-z are sorta above the fray. I mean they can get into it but they sort of get a pass if they don't.

"A thoroughbred horse never looks at the other horses. It just concentrates on running the fastest race it can."

Negroes (not just rappers) need to follow this..... If rappers worried more about their lyrical progression and music quality there would be a better hip hop.. if men worried about themselves instead of looking at the next dude and getting jealous we would have a better world...

*steps off soapbox*

HipHop was built off of everyone battling for the top and those on top slaughter those that challenged them or losing that spot, this is just another problem with todays hiphop fan and artist they forgot they origins and what thisshit was built off of. This is just another example of how rappers are Selling out to the pop fans who do not understand or appreciate the aggressive nature of urban HipHop culture, HipHop is about respect and too many Kats now adays lack it for themselves and others. How many more fundamentals can be tossed before the shit is no longer considered HipHop???

100% Co-sign. Not responding is not only cowardly but it reeks of selling out. It's easy to throw subliminals but to truly go at someone takes mad heart and confidence. No one is above a battle. A challenge is a challenge no matter what level you're in the game.1996 to 2010 is only 14 years. give or take the "retirements". Regardless of what you accomplished or how your fans see you, Your name is still your name and no amount of money, fame or who you're fucking can't stop someone from stepping to you. Fans are gonna defend, that's what we do but at the end of the day whether you felt he lost or not, he should protect his own legacy. LL Cool J, KRS, Ice Cube all defended their legacy whether you agreed or not. You can't take that away from them.
