Yeah "Faded to long" is almost at 1 million views.

I don't think the average listener is aware of songs like this one or "Used to Be", "Big Dreams" & "On my Way".

He put 4 positive songs on "DC2" and a few of the net-bloggers still say he's a one-trick pony which shows you that you can NEVER take the majority of these opinions seriously. They just type words of if orange when it comes to music.

When your forte is club/car/concert songs that are the background music for summer cook-outs then your core fan base expects the bulk of your discography to contain those types of songs and Meek will drop a 20 song Mixtape and give is that positive/inspirational joint after ever 5 bangers.

The weeding process is in effect, weed out the phony fans and let the true fans speak on the man the music and the movement.

Real Talk...That Song is heat...

This is the problem tho...All the POPPING BOTTLES SELLING BRICKS content makes that shyt sound null and void...I overstand the business aspect of releasing the "candy" songs for the ppl who don't like veggies..

But making all that crack rap and then chasing it with a lil superficial positivity is futile

Its like a kingpin slanging boat loads of drugs destroying his community and then thinking he's going to remedy ppl's chemical addiction/afflictions caused by the drugs with some clothes drive or holiday turkey handout..Its like in the movie new jack city when nino was handing out turkeys, that shyt didn't hide the fact that the drugs he was slanging had crackbabies being born and ppl getting strung out..

These ppl in the ghetto don't need any more sob stories..Fuck that..These ppl in the ghetto need some REAL guidance whether it be in a song or else..They need REAL information to transform their lives for the better...

Some dietary advice or business investments to grow their community

Making 100 stunt in your face cuz you broke and i'm rich songs and then dropping a couple "Struggle" songs comes off as phony to the real people who see thru that shyt

Finally someone who gets it. Thank you. I gave you a GOAT for this too.

1st all the things yall are saying about meek dudes in philly already said it .... alot of them even made songs and youtube videos about it yall can look them up .... but that didnt stop meek from rising above the philly rap underground ... so i doubt the same things will stop him from mainstream success ....

unlike most here i actually know why meek is where he is @ and watched him grow over the years while other rappers in philly tried to shit on him .....

but the question is .... is meek hype ... or will he have a long success career ...

imo opinion hes already having one ... meek started out just doing him and the kid was crossing over and blowing up ... now that hes finally settled with a label MMG now he does exactly what hes been doing but he usually now a days adds a guess on the record to push it further .... but he doesnt need them ....

this is the song that right here that put meek on the tri-state map ....

and these are the joints that he followed up with to garner attention from guys like Ross and TI ... if you peep these are all club bangers uptempo records ... with a street east coast appeal too it ... which is missing from the game which is why i think folks are gravitating to it .....

imo as far as production goes Meek can ride that same lane Jayz came up thru ...... and actually already has been on his own before linking up with his new found label MMG ...

so can meek have a long career ... imo he is having is right now .....

however most are new to Meek ... so judging on his background as long as he stay consistent to what hes been doing .... the kid will be here for awhile ......

c/s...smh@ katz n herr tryna disrespect meek mill comparin him 2 a FLUNKY like LLOYD BLANKZ cuz meek mill is SELFMADE!

Meek Mill been making radio singles since the "Headshot" "Touch Money" era...I'm not sure how familiar some of you cats are w/ Meek before he got w/ MMG but here in Philly his first song I heard on the radio was "I'm So Fly" ft. the BloodHoundz (Dat Nigga Lil, Young Pooh, and Mel Love)...Then he made "Make 'Em Say", "Rose Red", and "I'm A Boss"..."House Party" is a good ass club song too, not to mention that jawn "Amen" ft. Drake is a good look...I say all that to say his radio song prowess shouldn't be questioned...He can make street anthems for the niggas and also make a respectable "chick" song too...And niggas doubtin the kid's bars but he's killed "Pandemonium", "Finals", "Perfectionist" etc...All the songs that I've listed was to help the T/S out a bit...Meek will be around for a while.

Meek doing big things I see, got the visuals for the Drake collab on the way.

Meeks debut album "Dreams & Nightmares" drops August 28th if I'm nor mistaken.

Checked some of the songs you mentioned thanks to the guy who posted them above and I was not impressed. Like I said, he may have been the shit around his region (NJ, Philly, Maryland), but the main reason people are making a big deal out of him now is because of his association with Rick Ross/MMG. I just can't see myself enjoying a whole album of his voice and his extremely high energy in damn-near ever song. Lot of shit starts to sound the same and annoying. Just how I feel.

with meek its the stage presence/charisma and the way he delivers his content to the young g's.....

he's official tissue .
