The difference is that in a music video you don't get paid money for it, movies you're being paid for the character you play as you get a salary for such things. the music video is made to make money, there's no difference. in one medium you get paid up front, and in the other you get paid later when your album sells more copies due to the exposure the music video brings you. i agree with you it's generally not acceptable in Hip Hop, but Eminem isn't your run-of-the-mill Hip Hop act, how many other rappers have done as much comedy as what The Real Slim Shady video or Without Me videos contained? it got him the exposure and those albums sold like crazy though so apparently he was clever enough to know what the Wayans knew, that dressing in drag can rake in the cash. i didn't find it funny, just like i didn't find the movie White Chicks funny, but plenty of other people did.
