But...u have a career....and you are a homemaker....I don't see the difference. We can still have a career and take care of home. We don't TALK about it as much. I think that's the biggest distinction.

In general the media also plays it's part. You have reality shows of housewives who are portraying themselves as everything but actual "housewives" and then you have homemakers who are rarely ever highlighted anywhere in entertainment. You usually see one or the other, never a combination of women who have built their careers as well as their homes even though it's not uncommon.
