I know the dude is capable of making a hit record or he'll piggyback off a newcomer's success and have said newcomer featured on his own album but hits and sales is where it stops....while he's consistent with topping the charts, he's been inconsistent with dropping dope albums. Not only that, listen to him on the "Watch the Throne" leaks....the nigga sounds winded as fuck and the ironic part is the dude he didn't have faith in back in the day is straight shitting on him.
