Talent wise he is better than any QB that I have ever seen play the position.Other QBs might have been better than him at throwing or running, but no one has combined both as well as Rogers is doing now.Rogers >>>>>>>>>>>> Favre easily.

if a-rod goes undefeated, wins the regular season mvp, wins the super bowl, and wins super bowl mvp this season

u can already put him over favre in the all time rankings

i don't care what nobody says

edit: favre doesn't even have a SB MVP

well they don't have to go undefeated but if gb repeat and a-rod gets mvp, sb mvp or both

Favre had a legacy filled with good seasons, but only a few great ones.

1995
1996
2009

'94, '97 and '07 are debatable.

Let's compare Favre's MVP seasons from '95-'97 to Rodgers first 3 seasons as a starter '08-'10

'95 Favre: 63.0% (6th) -- 4413 (1st) -- 7.7 (2nd) -- 38 TDs (1st) -- 13 INTs (15th Most) -- 99.5 Rating (2nd)
'08 Rodgers: 63.6% (10th) -- 4038 (4th) -- 7.5 YPA (9th) -- 28 TDs (4th) -- 13 INTs (8th Most) -- 93.8 Rating (6th)

1-0 Favre

'96 Favre: 59.9% (9th) -- 3899 (4th) -- 7.2 YPA (9th) -- 39 TDs (1st) -- 13 INTs (17th Most) -- 95.8 Rating (2nd)
'09 Rodgers: 64.7% (9th) -- 4434 (4th) -- 8.2 YPA (4th) -- 30 TDs (4th) -- 7 INTs (T-32nd Most) -- 103.2 Rating (4th)

Id call it a draw.

'97 Favre: 59.3% (7th) -- 3867 (2nd) -- 7.5 YPA (3rd) -- 35 TDs (1st) -- 16 INTs (3rd Most) -- 92.6 Rating (3rd)
'10 Rodgers: 65.7% (5th) -- 3922 (7th) -- 8.3 YPA (2nd) -- 28 TDs (6th) -- 11 INTs (18th Most) -- 101.2 Rating (3rd) -- Rodgers missed 1 game

Id call it a draw as well. Either way, it's very impressive for Rodgers considering he had only thrown 59 passes in his 3 seasons as Favre's back up. And as great as Favre was in '09, if Rodgers can just put up top 5 numbers the rest of the season, he'll shatter anything Favre has done in his career. The only thing Favre has is longevity.

Is he more accurrate? No,

Quicker release? Nope

Better decision maker? LOL hell no

Better on the move? Nope

Better footwork? Nah

More clutch? Nope

Favre has a stronger arm, but arod's got a cannon also.

I fail to see how favre is better. Rodgers is favre without the stupid interceptions.

This is some truth for yo ass right here...Favre didn't excel at 1 part of the game that ARod doesn't....ARod does more and makes WAY fewer mistakes...

Basically this. People need to stop talking about legacy and career.

If you can't see that he's playing better then Favre ever was you either blind, a favre Stan, or a hater.

2 More years of this level and it will be cemented. Which is hilarious & shocking for Farve. Rodgers had HUGE shoes to fill. People were just gonna be happy with him being ok and growing into a good starting qb replacing a legend like Brett. It was gonna be hard to top what Farve did by anyone. Never did anyone think it could be done within the next 3-4 years.

He needs to show this wasnt some 3 year "fluke" or hotstreak or whatever people can make up

Could someone explain this longevity argument?? How does the length of Favre's career make him better than Rodgers?? Its not like he got better as the years went by, dude was a chucker that threw just as many INTs as TDs.

Never been a subscriber to over reactionary sports media, throwing the ever word around too liberally

He's performing greatly this season, had a great playoff run and an excellent performance in the superbowl-something Favre never had. Lets see if he can maintain this level of great play for some years. He's more efficient than Favre, that's for certain.

I'm a Pack fan and been one since '94....Rodgers is not better than Favre, he does things better than Favre but as a whole, not yet. I think ya'll living in the moment and forget Favre's 3 MVPs when other niggas like Barry Sanders were ballin and puttin up numbers. This caliber of receivers are better than any Favre has ever played with, hands down. Our receiving core literally goes 5-6 deep. Favre NEVER had that. They've also had time to build a rhythm amongst themselves (that back shoulder throw is the best in football right now). I think Rodgers will probably end up in the conversation, but we're not talking about the Vikings, Jets Favre...i'm talking Green Bay Packer, Brett Favre.

Aight. Let's say Derrick Rose went on to win 2 rings back to back and average 38 points and 12 assists both seasons.

LOL. I know its straight bullshit but, entertain me for a second. Let's say that happened.

How would you feel if niggas took that 2 year timespan and started putting him on Mike's level?

i cheered the pack in the 90's but hold up favre played with freeman - howard- levins - churma...i like jennings but cmon this group cant touch that 90's group...favre has the mvp's and he was a gun slinger...but the last six seasons of his career is a wash...arod is like big ben once the dude starts moving your def is done..he makes better decisions than favre...brett relied on his arm strength too much - got him in trouble too many times...if the pack win it this year and arod is the mvp you can put him up there with some of the elite...(last yr they predicted them to win and they won - few have done that with that much pressure)...time will tell as some mentioned but he's already headed in the right direction... the org knew what they were doing/getting when they let brett go
