Caddo Man you pretty much hit one of the Hornets problems with one of your other posts. I stay in the N.O. now but I'm from Jackson, MS. The Hornets games don't even come on in Jackson. Yet the Hawks and Grizzlies do. Not sure how familiar you are with the N.O. area but they have this one area called the North Shore which is about 45 min to a Hour away. They were not showing games in there area but the people raised enough hell to get them back on. The only time folks from Jackson and other parts of MS come down is when a local player is playing or if some big name team is here. I'm sure that is common in a lot of NBA towns. Attendence is never really great. The only time attendence was good was when they made their playoff run in '08. I went to the Heat game earlier this season but the areana was not full. They called it a sellout but there were plenty of seats.

I read about the Northshore problem. they need they ass kicked for not marketing this team as a Gulfshore or even Southeast team. They marketing manager needs to commit that!

lol those sellouts ain't happenin... it's clear they won't reach that attendance mark.... There has never been a legit arena proposal... Clay Bennett's proposal was built to be shot down, he was asking too much... They will accept a remodeled Key Arena but would prefer somewhere bigger... If we get a new arena I am sure it won't even be in Seattle... Probably Bellevue or Renton... Bellevue is where most season ticket holders live anyway... But I think KC's arena is all they got goin for them... There is far more to it than just an arena... There are several factors and Seattle has a lot of positives with arena being the only negative and an easy fix for Mr. Ballmer who got money to blow......

You need to research KC. homey. There is a reason why the Royals and the Chiefs have not even thought about leaving that area. I would let Beezy tell you about them but they have the corporate backing to make it happen.

KC has been looked over many times since the Kings left. Did something change that made the city more desirable?

Basically, if Seattle was an option when those teams relocated, or when the league expanded we woulda got one of those teams no doubt... Right now we are clearly the #1 city in America with no NBA team... We are the biggest market available... I would not be surprised if the arena situation leads to us not getting a team any time soon. Besides the arena no other available city is really as good of an option as Seattle... You can say it's because I am from here that I say that but it should be clear even to people who are not from here...

I couldn't see it for the simple fact that most of the city are already die-hard Bulls fans. The second team would be like the new L.A. Clippers, always playing in the shadow of the team with the more decorated history.

I am waiting for the day when Kobe retires and the Clippers are better than the Lakers thanks to Blake... You will see way less Laker fans and more Clipper fans... Lakers season ticket holders will become Clippers season ticket holders lol...

For me, If Seattle had 2 teams I would support them both... I support everything local... Just think being able to attend 82 games a year instead of just 41... Just think Kobe and Durant will play in Chicago twice instead of once... The Heat and Celtics will come to town 4 times instead of twice... That would be a dream for me lol...

I would love for them to come to Charleston or even Columbia....there are ZERO major league teams in the entire state of South Carolina. It won't happen 'cause this is the epitome of small market, but it would be nice....

Oh, and Reinsdorff is NOT going for that move to Chicago. He's tight with the whole political structure in Chi-town and would def. lobby against it and would likely win that fight.

Vegas would be a major money maker although I don't know if they would have hardcore fans....seems more like tourists would fill the seats evrery night.

Yeah you are right about that. As long as Charlotte and North Carolina has anything to do with it there would be nothing in South carolina. Charleston maybe but that area is so spread out. Even though I love the Low Country! The best food next to the Gulf Coast!
