30k?!?!?!? wtf...

you cats need to develop some fuckin skills

there only so much of the pie to go around man, everybody aint gon make 60+ a year though getting a skill set would make it a lot easier.

Real talk everybody isn't going to be no CEO, manager, president of operations, etc there has got to be some role players to and some folks will happily play that position.

Most times it's better than the alternative...

Even more of a reason to get a skill or some shit. Only so many decent paying gigs out there...one of them will forever be mine.

maybe I should have added that some people only have the ability to do so much, you dont think that janitor, groundskeeper, day laborer never really tried...everybody got a role and something is always better than nothing @crude

I'ma tell you some real shit, son. And not that I disagree that a lot of them niggas DID give it a go. But there are a LOT of people out there who are just in a cycle of generational struggle and they've never really seriously explored the possibility of them doing anything other than manual, menial labor. Janitors, maids and shit. Trust me.

That was 14 years ago..its caught up with me in my 30s.

I make nearly 20k more a year now, but thats still less than a new college grad in my field.

What field you in? I make just as much as the college grads and I'm in a shitty field money wise

I think they did try then you have dinner people who are truly happy doing those jobs.

Everybody isn't going to going to be set financially like you said in your earlier post only so much of the pie to go around.

I'll add that everyone won't be getting full, but some will be more than satisfied with enough to keep a roof over their head, food in their bodies, clothes on their back, and some halfway reliable transportation.

With rental income and my job, I'm clearing 45k. But I'm 26 and I never went to uni, high school and done, but my house is paid off, no mortgage payment, plus my car is paid off. So a lot goes into savings, I prolly save as much if not more than ppl making 80 grand per yr. I'm gearing up for my own business within next 2 yrs my goal is to clear 80k after taxes I'll be happy then. Eventually 6 figures. Millionaire by 30 what!

This shit just turned into a broke nigga pat on the back thread so let me bring Da money thru.

That rental income is fucking clutch, B. You hear about passive income and shit but until you actually have some you don't really understand how great that shit is. The only thing is...I got DREAM renters and I know that shit ain't gonna last forever. Lol.

True, I know. I'm feeling that, from 18 to now, it felt like wads of cash, but looking at 30 I know how little that shit is, hence I'm trying to get into higher tax bracket now. Even with no payments to make, it's so so. High income crushes all, gonna get that.

thats not quite comfortable today.. shit is way expensive.. maybe late 90's early 2000's.. I'll say 50 and up+ you'll be surprised how many people making six figures looking average af.

/\

Absolutely. 50k ain't much either after a house and car payments with bills, plus if you got kids to feed, not much left to go around. To live truly comfortably these days, 80k... Not saying if you are smart, and if you weed out all the payments you can live on less, but I'm talking nice car, nice clothes, nice trips every year and eating out often type deal. Enjoying life, not getting through it being overly stingy.

50-60K or better is a comfortable living in most places.

It isn't by no means getting rich but it b should be reasonable for someone to take care of themselves with unless they got more than a couple people depending on them.

Yes, you can't look at no one and tell how much dough they got.

I know a few older cats with that wealth that look like they buy clothes from Wal-Mart on clearance but bringing in more in a week than I probably see in a month.

I don't think to many folks on here making 50K or better here either but I know no one is going to be bold enough to show those check stubs.

To show you how life works..

I havent smoked weed in 3 years.. I had a 5 day weekend off from work this past weekend because of the snowstorm. I decided to face a blunt for old times sake over the weekend.. I come in to work today to find out the the company has been bought out and the new admin is screening all the employees over now for their records..including a drug test.. tomorrow.

Nigga.. im about to lose my job. W..T..F..

So I quit ^that^ job (didn't want next employer to call them asking why i was fired) before they tested me and had no job lined up.. Been working there for the last 2 years, and was making less than $20,000 a year smh.

Fast forward a week later, I've got an interview on Wednesday for a job that will pay between $65-$72,000 a year... Kicker?

My brother is the person interviewing me.

nigga im bout to be GIT NIT.

@Kat‌

human resources? ? Manager?? Forklift ??

I'm curious as to know what position. Payed that?

and not everybody had the opportunity to gain "skills" some weren't mature enough when they had the opportunity, everybody situation different, but it's also how you spend your money, I will never ever get a car payment if i couldn't pay the car off if times got hard, I'm trying now to save up for a house because after being 25 years old it doesn't make sense to pay rent when you can get a rancher home and pay a mortgage/equity, so 30k could go a long way if you don't have any bills that aren't benefitting you, and also where you live
