Nowadays guys are 1 or the other:
Ross, Jeezy, etc represent the Hood...regardless of ur feelings on them, they are hood nggas...but they are NOT lyrically there
Drake, Cole, Wale, etc...they have lyrics...but they are not hood, and not agressive.

90's/2000's...the best rappers had both: Jay, Big, Nas, DMX, State Porperty etc....Timbs, hoodies, and still could rap.
