Iphone users, what are you expecting from the Iphone 5?

Hmmmm its about to go down....just read on a mac forum htc may step into the patent war to help its korean brother samsung. Samsung holds a majority of the lte patents. Htc holds the rest. The current ipad is breaching on htcs patents so they been ignoring it. But they seem to now be moving to ban the iphone 5 and older ipad...because it would help them...less mobile competition.

Koreans stick together something crazy man...ntoiced it while living there.

Sucks because i was gonna pre order this or the s3

Right as Apple announces its new iPhone 5 (complete with LTE, and may I just say, finally!), HTC and Samsung have both announced that they will be taking immediate legal action against Apple. Both HTC and Samsung own patents for LTE, and since the new iPhone has LTE, they will be suing and hoping for a preliminary injunction.

While both have announced legal action, HTC is already on the ball. HTC has already presented their case to a US International Trade Commission Judge, so things are already on their way. Their patents have not been deemed invalid, and it seems that they won’t be anytime soon. We have yet to hear about the validity of Samsung’s patents though.

So from my understanding, HTC only brought the patents in order to sue Apple...don't thnk it will be a big deal..

Apple, however, can still look for a low rent exit. Because the patents could possibly qualify for FRAND pricing, Apple could look to license them at a fair price.

If HTC win tho, they can stop Iphone5 from being shipped....smh

So as per expected the iPhone5 comes out and shits on the SG3

Screen: Higher resolution and a sharper screen (326ppi vs 306) which means better under bright(sun) light

Processor:The A6 will either shit on the SG3 (like the 4s did the Galaxy S2)

Camera: The old one killed the SG2...the new one destroys the one in the SG3...the aperture and ability to drop down to ISO 50 alone>>>>SG3

As always the Original will never be replaced by the imposter.

like i said earlier...i don't even know what half of that shit means...as long as it takes good pics, has a good gps, plays my music, has clear video, and is fast, and is just as functional as the other iphones, then i'm cool with paying 199.....whatever cool stuff it has on there, ill probably never use, and whatever got left off, i wouldn't use anyway

This what these nerds just do not get. Normal people dont give two shits how many cores their Phone's CPU has, or what the ppi of their phone is. Its irrelevant. Normal people just want their shit to work and function exactly as promised, like their toaster or fridge. NO OTHER company does this as well as Apple. Could you imagine going up to a bish and being "Yo ma, I just over clocked my Quad-Core Xeynon processor on my phone...you wit it?" SMH...

Just copped the black 4s 32GB from Sprint in July. They have a buy back plan though & quoted me $266 for my phone to be credited to my account if I wanna try to upgrade.

after all its still a phone. and its already the best out. and they just upgraded all the things that were already great about it. so if you like iphones, then this is great news. If you dont like iphones then cool. Its all about using what you are comfortable with. i'm not about to go learn some new phone just b/c some other phone may take better videos. And if i had been using another style phone, i wouldn't switch to iphone just because its the thing to do. Either way. its all good. as long as everyone is happy with their own phones. great.

Nothing wrong with that. That sentiment, I can understand. I don't have a problem with the iPhone. I just think it's funny that the fanatical iPhone loyalists are implying that this phone will will blow everything out of the water when in reality it doesn't introduce anything that's not already being done. Just for perspective, here's another spec comparison sheet.

I think it should be pretty clear by now that the iPhone5 isn't introducing anything new. It's just catch the iPhone up to what's already the status quo among high end smartphones.
