It's been eclipsed because it's not some kind of untouchable paragon. At one time, all the other phones were playing catch up and by the time they caught up, the next iPhone was coming out. that's no longer the case. By the end of the year/beginning of next year everything you just pointed out as being the best for the iPhone will be exhibited in another phone. You can bet on that.

Again wrong, it took two years for another company to come out with a screen as sharp and bright as the iPhone4's. Even now the 4's screen is sharper than the GS3. The iPhone processor is a dual core while every other flagship phone uses a quad core processor with 2gbs of ram compared to the iPhones 1gb...yet the iPhone is still the fastest smartphone on the market while having the best battery life. This is a custom made chip by Apple...so no another phone won't have this level of performance. It does all this while being thinner and lighter than any other phone....yet it's still far more durable than larger and thicker phones.

lol @ you throwing out a bunch of meaningless stats. Specs aren't everything when it comes to a phone. I personally like Android OS better than iOS. It doesn't matter what the iPhone's specs were. I'd never buy one because it's OS is inferior IMO.

The only thing you're right about is that the iPhone has typically had the best display around, but the difference between it and some of the other ones out there now is negligible. And if you really think that the iPhone chip won't be outclassed in the near future, you know nothing about how these things work. Chips are constantly beaten out increment by increment. That's the nature of the beast. It's not a matter of if a better processing and computing system comes out, only when. Not to mention that the RAM contributes to more than just speed. iPhone can be faster and still be inferior when it comes to multitasking. Having less RAM may be an indicator of that. And I'm pretty sure your iPhone's claim of best battery life is false. Even if it's true, the Razr Maxx HD will undoubtedly beat it in that area when it comes out.

That said, you're right. People caping up for the GS3 are just as stupid. Hell, they're stupider. The fragmented nature of Android phones really makes it silly to hold any 1 up as the standard bearer. There are probably like 3 that are all on the same level. Arguing over phones is kinda dumb anyway. Whichever one you want to use, use it. But all this bloated and exaggerated information is silly. 1) Fine you like the OS better...personal prefernce...so its whatever.

2) Ugghhhh AGAIN....it doesnt matter what the Snapdragon S5 will be...the A6x or the A7 will be a faster processor. And it will be the same for the S6 and in comparison the A8. Because again the Snapdragon is a GENERIC SoC. Its not customized for Android or Windows Phone...or even for that matter to any specific manufacturer. It has to be able to fit into any number of different of component configurations and OS's so it will never be optimized fully for just one. In contrast, the Ax series is CUSTOM designed and optimized for ONE set of components and ONE OS. The iPhone will ALWAYS have that advantage. So it doesnt matter what the next Snapdragon processor will be, the next Ax SoC will beat it...it did with 4, the 4s, the 5 and this will continue.

Once again, the amount of RAM is not the only factor in the ability to multitask. Its how that RAM is used, and if you even bother to read those tests you'd see that because the SoCs and OS are designed for each other they out perform generic SoCs with twice as much RAM. 21 hours talk time...the iPhone has 20+hours with talk, LTE surfing, Video watching etc. Your smoking some STRONG STRONG stuff if you dont think the iPhone is still the standard bearer for smartphones. 5 Million iPhones sold in 3 days a (forecasted to sell over 200 million) and its not the King? Fastest processor, best screen, thinnest/lightest, most power efficient phone on the market and its not the King? Samsung specifically targets the iPhone with all their ads for the S3 and the iPhone is not the King? What other "wolf in the pack" can boast that?

I would think that depends on the carrier. Most phones have those capabilities, but whether you can use them or not is carrier dependent. For instance, now Verizon has these shared data plans. For them, mobile hotspot usage is free, but it takes away from your overall data allotment for the month.

It's a pretty good and very unbiased comparison between the SG3 and iPhone 5. For those that don't want to watch it, here are the basic findings.

iPhone is smaller, lighter and sturdier (facts) and easier to use with one hand (his opinion but might as well be fact).

SG3 has a bigger screen (fact).

iPhone has a sharper display, but SG3 is true HD and handles darker colors better (facts).

SG3 batter lasts longer (he judged based on 3G talk time) ( his opinion based on his experience).

SG3 has better hardware, but iPhone is noticeably faster when opening apps and surfing the web (fact).

SG3 has better software apps out of the box (his opinion).

Apple has better support (his opinion).

Both cameras are good, but the iPhone has better image stablization (his opinion).

SG3 has a removable battery and expandable memory, iPhone doesn't (fact).

Basically, his conclusion that they were essentialy on the same level, and which is better would come solely down to what you were looking for. Seemed like he believed the size was more of a determining factor than anything else. And the guy's name is "AnythingApplePro" so if he's biased it's probably towards the iPhone but honestly I didn't see any bias in his review.

One interesting thing though is that in one of his other videos he says he doesn't reccommend getting this phone if you already have an iPhone 4S because it's not enough of an improvement to warrant the extra money.

Like what kinda logic is that? Maybe the A6 will be faster when it comes out, but what difference does that make if the next processor for Android is out in 4 months and the next chip for the iPhone doesn't come out for a year and a half?

And it kills me that he keeps on bringing up these specs and missing my entire point. Who gives a shit if the iPhone has the best now. It's not the standard bearer because we all know it will be eclipsed soon just like every other phone that's counted as the top dog. That title is always only held briefly.
