In your opinion, who is the best rapper ever?

Going Jay.... He's one of the only rappers that has been able to be elite in any and every form of rapping whether it be musical, longevity, classics... There isn't a box he hasn't shown he can check and the way you can tell is becuz ppl will say "rapper A is better at this" but Jay will be better at something else then their response is "well rapper B beats him there" then if you name something he beats rapper B in the it's "well rapper C does that better" his career as a rapper is sum Frankenstein shit you have to grab from multiple rappers to get one Jay Z

That's a fair argument. Problem is, I can't think of anything that Jay is actually the best at though. Seems like you're arguing that Jay is the most well rounded. Whether or not that's the same as being the best is debatable though.

True I look at it like bball.... Bron is the best but what does he actually do better than anybody in the league skills wise??? He not the fastest he don't shoot the best he can't jump the highest he don't have the best post game etc..... I I just think when you're the most well rounded and shown you can do so many things at an elite level I'ma feel you're the best at what you do

I'd say Ghostface. He's a much better and creative storyteller. He has more charisma and versatility in delivery. However, Jay is better when it comes to the more technical elements like wordplay, metaphors, etc... So if you rank the two for several different elements, I could definitely see Jay's scoring be more consistent from area to area, and Ghost being better in some areas and not as good in other areas. However, where Ghost is better, he's significantly better and that pushes the average in Ghost's favor. You could probably make a similar argument for Pac or someone like Cube too.
