In the midst of the Future/Desiigner Fiasco...A look back at the Pastor Troy clones.

It's crazy because Troy don't get enough credit for fathering this new ATL style. A lot of these dudes basically build their whole song around their ad libs. Troy really started that. I mean Lil Jon is probably more well known for his ad libs, but he didn't blend them with the rap verses the way Troy and most of these new rappers do.

And yeah, every time I see some Dirty love, I have to contribute. There is no reason those dudes shouldn't be considered among the best to come from the South. They've released some newer stuff in the past couple years. It ain't on the level of Da Pimp and Da Gangsta, but a lot of it is solid.

I worked at a job back in 03' and it was this dude from ATL who worked there, and all he used to talk about was some rapper named Baby D, and how Baby D was gone be the next big name outta atlanta, I ended up seeing Baby D doing some work with Bleu davinci and BMF but I couldn't really get with his shit like that.

I know baby d wasn't no clone just thought i'd bring him up since we was talkin atl rappers

Baby D was prolly on the verge of blowing up, he had a feature on Lil Flip's U Gotta Feel Me album alongside Killer Mike and Pastor Troy but he ended up getting locked up for like 30 years I believe. His album Lil' Chopper Toy was an underground classic though.

Nah more closer to 30 months lol, he got out dropped a couple bangers with montay then stopped doin much with oomp camp all together

Haha okay well that's good.

Who them hoes

Pt gone a top five dead or live rap style anyways..his voice better than all them old school newyork guru voices montone niggas

i wonder what fabo be doin now, or did he just never really take rap serious like that

Back in January I was in a Hood spot in Decatur (The Chit Chat) & they had a few up & coming rappers performing & Fabo was the so called big act that night. He did geeked up, tatted up & a few songs I've never heard before. It was maybe 75 people there, if my homie from my hometown in Michigan wasn't there performing I wouldn't have been there. lol

People used to try to get me to go to Chit Chat alllll the time, but I never went. I'm jus not that big on clubs/lounges on the Eastside (albeit the ES got alllll the ho's).

Interesting that u saw Fabo b/c I haven't seen him since he was in and out of jail back in the day. Dude was crazy, but had some talent. I always said he was like a southern version of Ol' Dirty Bastard (not saying he was identical).

And props to u for supporting ya homeboy!

Baby D before the Bleu/BMF Era was hard as hell. His album Lil Chopper Toy with ATL Hoe, Eastside vs Westside(plus the remix) and We Too Deep pure flames. I definitely recommend it

I fuck with the original Eastside/Westside more, they never played it in the clubs out here, but i can imagine how crazy they went out in ATL when they played it.

Man chit chat hood as fuck...

A underrated group(maybe not as much as dirty) is field mob, ion think Cris fucked em over as much as they just ain't have they biz right but they had bars like a muhfucka. They seem like they barely get along now but they need to cut that out cuz I bet they can still get some rap money now

Bruh the original is hard, but the REAL remix is CRAZY! When D come in w/ the "Watcha know about da E-A-S-T-S-I-D-E" and the bass hits every time he says a letter.

And it's not the one they have on YouTube, I'm gonna see if I can find the real version.

And yes, nikkas used to go ham and turkey bacon when this shit came on!! lol
