man this is old, this was released on the web last year. still it's a preview of the new madvillain album coming out. everybody keeps hyping up that dangerdoom bullshit because of dangermouse acting like this album wasn't one of mf doom's best. shit pisses me off.

let's keep it ALL the way real: if it wasn't for j-dilla's death madlib wouldn't be slept on. his career has been overshadowed because of that untimely event. muthafuckas act like that jaylib collab was all j-dilla. but at the same time it was a blessing for madlib, he got to work with artists he'd probably would NEVER imagine working with--talib kweli with that "liberation" jawnt (happy home is my SHIT!), mos def on his last album (which he and his brother produced half that chumpie) and now the new blackstar release. i think he could care less about fame and fortune, he knows just how shady the majors are, that's why he's practically the resident producer for the stone's throw imprint.

there was talks of a sequel when dilla was alive and there have been some cuts they worked on, i know i saw 1 on the "chrome children" compilation which is inspired by adult swim on "cartoon network".

another producer he is tight with that you guys just GOTTA listen to (besides his brother michael aka Oh No) is kankick. he knows just as much about beat digging and samples and has some DOPE beats to match. peep "from artz unknown" as an example.
