Wayne is on another planet. He's trying to become a megastar, so it's not fair to compare a guy with a marketing plan to a dead mixtape rapper. You can't do anything but applaud Wayne's hard work and dedication. Dude went from a mixtape rapper to king of hip-pop. Wayne > all mixtape rappers of principle alone.

Camron is as dope as they get. Maybe y'all/you don't get the slang he uses, but dude's wordplay is top notch. He use to shit on everyone back in the day, Big L, JayZ, even Beanie sometimes. If you don't think Cam can spit, idk what to tell you. Camron is light-years better than Pun. Even that new shit with Vado is hot, even though he ain't really spittin like he use to. He taking it easy on Vado, the same way he did with Juelz.

Except Pun wasn't a mixtape rapper and actually went platinum.

Now Cam is one of my favorite rappers of all time. But to say he's better than Pun is ridiculous.

edit: Have to say this though....on songs with both Pun and Cam, Cam holds his own

I think Cam> Pun in this

but Pun> Cam in this

The description wasn't to be taken literal. If you read back, I also said Wayne went from a mixtape rapper to king of hip-pop. Wayne also went platinum a couple of times before he blew up.

These 2 verses > Big Pun's career, and this shit is the norm.

Start at 1:53.

Yo, there's a war going on outside, no man is safe from
It don't matter if you three feet or eight-one

Wig split, melon cracked, all that on day one
Carry eight guns, two in the trunk
Two in the waist, two in the ankle, two to just spank you
You can jam with them jammers, blam with them blammers
It's hot here, ask Mase he ran to Atlanta
You think we know what life do, make wanna mold the cycle
Drinkers they so delightful, blinging with so much ice
In front of sparks, body of Castellano
Block away watched by Gotti and Gravano
It's la Cosa Nostra, someone close approach you
They'll toast your gopher, bread loaf with shofer
Old coke they raise up and snort, blayze up your fort
Jay puff shine, cases was caught
Midnight pick fights, they love a victim
Watch him fore he watch you, Killa

I'm from 101, west to Hunt 40th, this shit is live
Fifth-floor, 56, you know the zip, district five
You're on 22nd, you from two-one
That's on Lennox, 7th ave was news one

Get your shit rocked ma like Haseem Rahman
And I'm extra scary

Even with those lines, those verses were still > Pun's career. Especially his verse on The Roc.

Cam actually has his own delivery, flow, style etc. unlike the late Pun who followed G-Rap's blueprint.

I just find it funny the bol says legendary and gettin more credit than they deserve in the same sentence lol. the niggas who made rap evolve with no blueprint get respect for that. using sports as an example, just cause jordan surpassed dr j dont mean dr j shit wasnt great also. jordan just built on it. the greats of that time added fundamental shit to the game. and krs one is dope just his first two albums alone his flows, subject matter, delivery etc influenced just as many rappers as rakim kane and g rap.

U talking bout Vocab and punches but you post verses with the worst vocabs and punch u can find ..Cam is wack as fuck lyrically no where talented or skilled as Pun and you proved it for me. I dont even got to get a Pun verse cause the shit u posted was so garbage , u could at least used shit from Children of the corn or Confession Fire days but chose "Computer Puttin" "Huey Louie" Cam loL

I could quote almost all the post but I'm a dead yall one time while I'm on my 15 minute pussy break (sumn half yall squares know anything about... I get that!)...

I have no problems with paying homage and being grateful for those who came up with this thing called rap music and those who've pioneered from the beginning.. But like I said that don't make you any better of an artists... The artists back then couldnt have transcended hip hop music like a Jay-Z, Eminem , numerous names I can say blah blah blah... Jay-Z has changed the whole landscape of hip hop on and off the record.. I only name drop to say that these rappers deserve just due.. I'm not saying Lil Wayne nor T.I. or the greatest but you cant deny what they have brought to the game..

Sure Rakim or whoever the hell began spitting a certain way where the young Jay's Ye's Em's Nas' grew up on first but the guys I said took the shyt to a whole other level where most you fool dont want to recognize... I always wondered if Rakim or them other dudes was so great how did they basically get booted outta hip hop and just became legendary names... Like these niggas never made it where Jay or Ye made it while rappers in that realm made classic material along the way... Like what do our rappers have to prove to them old niggas who really werent much of nothing.. Sorry if it sounds like a diss but its the truth... Jay has surpassed all them fools but no1 wants to admit the shyt because personal hatred or biasness..

I dont want to run the Jay thing in the ground but he is the prime example... Longevity has always been key in hip hop but for some reason its like his bar is higher than the heaven skies just because he didnt make rap music, like Jay hasnt already over exceeded all expectations of all rappers.. Even Nas or Eminem, and I'm not the hugest of fans but our generation has killed off the beginning era of rap... I respect all parts and eras of hip hop and pay homage but I cant suck they cock like yall cuz they did it first... The newer generation ( mid to late 90's til now) is far more full of better rappers than the old skool...

(Back to good pussy... hate if you want IC, all yall do is make me laugh anyway .... I, I, I get it)

hustla musik before hustla musik was popular. bow down to the originator

When I was five years old I realized there was a road
At the end I will win lots of pots of gold
Never took a break, never made a mistake
Took time to create cause there's money to make
To be a billionaire takes hard work for years
Some nights I shedded tears while I sent up prayers
Been through hard times, even worked part time
in a Key Food store sweepin floors for dimes
I was sort of a porter takin the next man's order
Breakin my back for a shack from headquarters
All my manpower for four bucks an hour
Took the time, I wrote rhymes in the shower
Shoes are scoffed cos the road gets rough
But I'ma rock it til my pockets ain't stuffed enough
All the freaks wouldn't speak cos my checks was weak
They would turn the other cheek so I started to seek
A way to get a play, and maybe one day
I'll be performin up a storm for a decent pay
No matter how it seems I always kept the dream
All the girlies scream and suckas get creamed
Dreamed about it for five years straight
Finally I got a break and cut my first plate
The road ain't yellow and there ain't no witches
My name is Kool G Rap, I'm on the road to the riches

I used to stand on the block sellin cooked up rock
Money bustin out my sock cos I really would clock
They were for kind of fiends bringin jackets and jeans
Magazines, anything, just to hustle for beans
The cash was comin fast, money grew like grass
People hungry for the blast that don't even last
Didn't want to be involved but the money will getcha
Gettin richer and richer, the police took my picture
But I still supplied, some people I knew died
Murders and homicides for bottles of suicide
Money, jewelry, livin like a star
And I wasn't too far from a Jaguar car
In a small-time casino, the town's Al Pacino
For all of the girls, the pretty boy Valentino
I shot up stores and I kicked down doors
Collecting scars from little neighborhood wars
Many legs I broke, many necks I choked
And if provoked I let the pistol smoke
Loyal members in a crew now down with the game
Sellin nickels and dimes, sunshine or rain
What I had was bad from my shoes to my pad
In the first time in my life loanin money to dad
Now the table's turned and my lifestyle switches
My name is Kool G Rap, I'm on the road to the riches

A thug a-mugs for drugs, he eventually bugs
Lookin for crack on carpets and rugs
The squealers tells but the dealer still sells
Little spoiled kids inheritin oil wells
I was the type on the opposite side
Of smokin the pipe, in a beef I got hype
Cos rags to riches switches men to witches
Become stitches, body bags in ditches
Bloodshed, I painted the town red
People fled as I put a dread's head to bed
That mean's dead, in other words deceased
Face got erased, bullets got released
Bombs were planted, the kids were kidnapped
In fact that was a way to get back
At enemies who tried to clock G's
on my block, now they forever knock Z's
Plans of rampages went for ages
Some got knocked and locked inside cages
Some bit the dust for crumbs and crusts
In God We Trust, now rots to rust
Plus caps to cops, policeman drops
You blew off his top when the pistol went pop
Troopers, soldiers, rollin like boulders
Eyes of hate and their hearts get colder
Some young male put in jail
His lawyer so good his bail is on sale
Lookin at the hourglass, how long can this power last?
Longer than my song but he already fell
He likes to eat hardy, party
Be like John Gotti, and drive a Maserati
Rough in the ghetto, but in jail he's Jello
Mellow, yellow fellow, tell or hell, hello
One court date can turn an outlaw to an inmate
But just stay, ship him upstate by the Great Lakes
And than a-wait and wait and wait
Til he breaks, that's all it takes
So he fakes to be a man, but he can't stand
On his own two feet because now he's in a new land
Rules are different and so is life
When you think with a shank, talk with a knife
Not my lifestyle so I made a U-turn
More money I earn, more money to burn
Pushin all buttons, pullin all switches
My name is G. Rap, I'm on the road to the riches

I got respect but them niggas was on A-B-C ass rhymes, i know thats where it originated but these dudes dont deserve to be in the same breathe as one of the current greats
