I've always said this too playa. My arms and chest gets kinda pale during the winter but when summer rolls around I get back to my African roots and my melanin is reactivated. I love it. My muscles look more cut.

For a yellow bone imagine the complexion of a women mixed with black and white or black and asian....if that paints a picture

For a red bone imagine slightly darker but not dark enough to be considered dark skinned, like:
