Its all about perspective and situational awareness. If you were in the military, you may be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan anyway, so you are aware/adapted to the living conditions/risks if you decide to come back as a civilian. Plus, you could easily get hurt or even worse on a trip to the corner store to get some cigarettes. When it's your time it's your time, it's your time, however you have to set limits. My limit is I only work for companies that allow you to stay on base and no travel to other camps is needed. I have quit several jobs where they needed me to go out into town to do stuff but I'm not going to put myself in that type of danger.

i am not willing to die for money...anything but money.

but i guess its like you said...its about perspective.

With your experience couldn't you get another job for a different company in the same vein?

I currently have almost 3 years at my job but I want to work for a bigger company and I have been getting no feedback so it just depends on other factors sometimes
