How to Post Pics/
NOTE: You can test your skills in this thread once u learn. Dont just read the tutorial and go right into making/contributing to threads
POSTING PICS
There are actually two different ways to post pics ... which ever way you find convienient will do
Inline Style
or
Forum Features Style
BUT
First you must understand URL'S (if you already know what URL's are just skip to the first step)
To learn How URL's Play into Posting pics, Click the spoiler button below
STYLES
Inline style is simply done by typing out the html tags that will make your image appear on the screen
type the following
[img][/img]
these are called IMAGE TAGS
** note ** you have to use a separate image tag for each pic you want to post. so if you have 8 pics ... you will have to make 8 different image tag sets
now, if your a newbie to posting pics, its time to use that url you got earlier. the url needs to go IN BETWEEN the image tags ** see the red bolded below **
[img] THE URL GOES HERE [/img]
to get the url between the tags, simply right click the space in the middle of the image tags and click PASTE.
the image tags and the url should look something like this
[img]http://i4.imageban.ru/out/2012/01/14/34cc09f1eccc1ecdd2d26dfb732ad362.jpg[/img]
once you submit your post or preview your post .... you should see the pic on your screen
FORUM FEATURES STYLE
The forum features style works pretty much the same way but is a little easier to use if you never posted pics before. when ever you post you will see a small toolbar above the text area ... now follow the instructions in the pic below
the forums features style will create the image tags for you. from there you can just paste the url in between the image tags. you can then submit your post or preview your post to test/display your pics
** note ** remember that you need a set of image tags for each individual pic. so if you are posting 8 pics, you would have to click the image button 8 times. one for each pic

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator
this is the address where your pic "lives" at on the internet. i will show you how to find the url of your pic next, but you must know right from the beginning that you cant share your pics on a message board without UPLOADING THEM TO THE INTERNET. If your pics are only on your computer, you can upload them to the internet by using an image hosting site such as
www.photobucket.com
www.imageshack.us
or
www.tinypic.com
WHERE TO FIND THE URL OF YOUR PICS
IF you used an image host like the ones i just mentioned above, the image host will give you the url, just right click and copy it
IF ... the pics that you want to post are already on the internet (on a different website etc) go to the site where the pic is, right click on the pic and click "copy URL". IF you have that "copy url" option when you right click on the pic, youre done getting the URL, move on to the next step.

WITH SOME BROWSERS YOU MAY HAVE TO CLICK "PROPERTIES" AFTER RIGHT CLICKING ON THE PIC
then you will see a small window pop up
on the third line from the top, its shows the address/ URL of the pic . click and hold down the left button of your mouse right at the begining of this address and drag your mouse over the entire address until it is highlighted blue....... it will look like this
you can then release the left button of the mouse. now move your mouse anywhere on top of the blue highlighting and RIGHT CLICK
in the small box that appears click COPY ...... you now have the URL of your pic and you can move on to the next step. the next steps will show you the two different styles i mentioned above (inline and forum features style) and WHAT TO DO WITH THE URL
