Anyway like the old niggas or not......damn really outside of t/s niggas really feel like if you ain't experience shit firsthand you cant appreciate it? Did I have to watch the light bulb or movies being created to enjoy/benefit from that shit lol? If it aint your new generation shit its wack and overrated? This is some shit new to black music, niggas didnt shit on marvin al green james brown soul music late 80s/90s; we liked hip-hop but paid homage. See how ya'll feel in 10 years when the lil niggas do the same thing to kanye 50 waka drake wayne ross etc.

And for those saying "but but thats like saying you cant like Luther or the Jackson 5 or whoever if you weren't born when they were releasing music....". No. I don't think we're seriously going to have a debate on the "timelessness" of old school RnB, Funk, Soul, and Blues compared to pre-West Coast era of Hip Hop, cuz there's no competition. Outside of your family and/or friends, old school hip hop has limited reach and impact on a popular level and you probably were not/are not able to internalize it as much as older pieces of other genres.
Plus the elements that make a "good" soul or RnB or whatever song don't and haven't really changed in the past 50 years. Hip hop is far too subjective to have as lasting an impact and as large an appeal as old school music.
