This reminds me of a book I read where this one genie who grants wishes trapped the whole world, and the only person not trapped only had 3 wishes to make. With genies the rule of not asking for more wishes is always in place. The guy with the wishes wanted to save everyone but 3 wishes weren't enough to do it. So he makes 2 wishes, and on the 3rd wish, he words the wish in such a way that the genie becomes his slave and grants him as many wishes as he chooses without breaking the not being able to ask for multiple wishes rule.

Its fucked up that I can't remember how he worded the wish. Soon as I get home ima see if I can find the book in my bookcase and re read that part.
