Yall sleepin on Ohio. I been all around there. Plenty cities and plenty farmland. It'll surprise you cause all the cities are bigger than youd think. Not sayin it would be #1 but near the top.

I been to Ohio a few times, and its rural for the most part. Columbus and Cincinnati were pretty cool but the state as a whole doesn't have much. I would guess it would be towards the middle but not the close to the top.

Alaska probably wouldnt be the most successful, but it can most likely be a successful country. Oil, forestry, etc.(i never been there so i dont know everything) Its weather is probably the biggest limitation.

The coastal cities will be the most powerful. If the States were to break up and form its own nation then it would rely heavily upon foreign commerce, hence coastal cities having a huge advantage. Any of the original 13 colonies could make power moves, plus California.

I would say any of the midwest states because of access to the Mississippi, but not sure how stable each nation within the continent will be.

Each state having its own currency is going to be devastating so the nation with the most gold is going to have the strongest currency thus be able to higher militia, attract the wealthy and basically treat the other states like feudal states.

Basically many states are going to be collapsed into single nations as the wealthier nations war to access to ports and resources.

I'm gussing Maryland is going to become the most powerful nation is this scenario.

Without the federal government, we would only be paying state taxes, but states get help from the federal government cause state taxes ain't sufficient enough for a state to survive on. So if this shit does happen, we wouldn't pay federal taxes but state taxes would go up. If that happens I wonder if we will individually pay more or less in taxes.

And which state has enough income from sales tax and all other business related taxes to not need to increase taxes as much. Thinking about it that way, which state would be the best to live in?
