It's not running perfectly smooth. But it's running. All it takes for a civilization to survive is it's ability to adapt and improve upon itself. For most of history, the civilizations that have functioned for the longest have mostly always been male-led. We are in the situation that we're in now because of a select few greedy racist banking families hellbent on harvesting as much money from the population as possible. Men do a lot of evil things, but men also do a lot of great things for society(Ex. almost every useful invention ever) and that's the trade off.

Men are just better in the leadership position. That's not to take anything away from women, but it's just not your lane. Most women still have issues working in an all-female office(there are horror stories all over the internet about that) I can only imagine what a women-run societal system would look like.
