If Josh Hamilton keeps up this pace, is he the hands down MVP this year?

imo hamilton and cabrera are neck and neck

but hamilton is having a better season and players for playoff contenders are favored in mvp voting

True.....but if Miggy had any protection in that lineup he would have possibly won the triple crown.....

when ordonez got hurt that fucked things up, and When Brennon Started to fall off the earth that didnt help either lol...

when Ordonez was healthy and Brennon was on Flat out fire thats when Miggy was in line for that triple crown....

I don't know about that. Cabrera has more home runs, RBI's, higher slugging %, and a higher OBP.

I Cant say Hamilton is having a better year but if your having a similar to very close year and your team is First in your Division then you're always going to be giving the MVP talks way heavier.

yea but hamilton's avg is about 20 pts higher

plus he does so many things for the team defensively and on the basepaths (stuff like going first to third on singles, first to home on doubles)

I agree with everything you said, but he isn't having a better year than Cabrera. But he will get more votes because his team is in first place. But than again A rod did win the AL MVP in 2003 and the Rangers didn't make the playoffs

maybe not...the argument i should have made is that hamilton is more valuable to his team at this point

I can agree with that because the Rangers will be in the playoffs. Will be interesting to see how they do when they get there
