I dont agree..
I respect Jay-Z's contribution to hip hop though.
The Black Album is a classic, and Vol. 2 was dope as hell..
Takeover was a great diss record, and Roc La Familia was off the hook.
His verse on "Light Up" might be one of the best verses this year.
But i dont think Jay-Z can rap better then Nas, Jada, Em, 3000, AZ, Biggie, Kanye', Talib, Common, etc. etc. ect.
I think he's a bitter. I think he mind fucked the shit outta his fans. I think he (currently) sounds like whatever artist he features with.
I think he's uncreative with his projects - If it dont sell, its not being released. I lost respect for his pin game when he said "i dumbed down to double my dollars. I think he's too old to be rapping about the club and shit. I think BP3 was whack. I think American Gangster (2007) resembles T.I's "King" (2006) .. a album hyped of a movie. I think Jay should've stayed retired.
However .. i do think he's a Top 10 artist.
His impact on the game MUST be respected by all of hip hop.
He's not the Goat though .. Nas is.
