I'm not dissing the Underground Max B is underground i love his Music but Joe Budden is underground too but can't stand him it's not about who is underground or mainstream it's about who i like as Artists

Deep Content + Emotion + Deep Lyrics + Emotional Catchy Hook that is Sung + Flow that is half Singing half Rapping + good Production = me extremley happy

But the aforementioned is what J.Cole is known for. Like his exact style, he's not known for draw dropping lyricism or being extremely charismatic. Likewise all the social media metrics point to him doing ok #'s wise, sure he'll never go platinum, but Gold isn't a stretch. He will certainly do more than 50k first week.

And flopping on a Major label released Album with Singles like Work Out, promotion, a big budget, co sign from Jay Z 1 of the most popular faces in Hip Hop, Videos on MTV etc
