He fell off like wizards jordan, but from about 2002-2008, dude was jordan.

I wouldnt knock someone for having wayne in their top 5. Hes in my top 10.

No doubt, Wayne's put in a lot of work, but top 10? Nah, not if the criteria are sales, lyrics, flow, influence, longevity, etc.

Let me see, in no order, ahead of him are Nas, Jay, Cube, Outkast, Scarface, WuTang, Pac........Tribe, LL.......KRS/BDP. Well that's 10 right there. He'd most likely be Top 25 around where Eminem, DMX, and other second-tier greats would be, at least imo.

Lmaoo another thread showing the generation gap

But aren't you on the wrong side of this gap?

Hip hop has a long history, and lots of legends came before Wayne, who hasn't even retired yet, and you honestly think there aren't ten rappers greater than him?? Doesn't make sense.

There is no wrong side

Thats actually why I made this thread. I know Wayne was popular in the mid 2000s but I kinda outgrew rap around that time. I'm wondering what the younger generation thinks. I mean people who were in their teens and early 20s when Wayne was at his peak.

Apparently Wayne in his prime isn't top 10 DOA.

The hate for Wayne is real on here

There's no hate, it's all facts. Wayne ain't top 10 doa, period! Only stans would say differently. Saying he's not top10 though, doesn't diminish his accomplishments or his mark on the game.

He played with top 5 for a while...but the dropoff can't be totally ignored

Still top 10 easy

I'ma need you to name the top five he was in when he was on and I'm not talking about sales purely skills

Was his run top ten or 5 I can deal with that but if we are talking purely musically I'ma need y'all to name this list
