Man they probably will but Boise should get a shot. BCS conferences just don't want to lose that Bread that Boise will get.

that is the problem though. Do they really deserve a shot over a team who runs the table against superior competition? I don't think so. I do think they should play a team other than TCU in a bowl though haha.

But do you penalize a team that has tried play better competition but big time BCS schools refuse to play them in the non conference games. Because of how good they are. Boise can play with any team in the country they have showed that in bowl games and the last couple of years. So if they go undefeated they deserve a chance if they are in the 1 or 2 slot.

Unfortunately you have to penalize them. Trust me, I agree. Boise can play with anyone in the country. They are legit. But that schedule just doesn't hold up to other teams. Unfortunately the system is a beauty pageant. At the end of the year you compare teams and a 13-0 Boise team just doesn't look as good as a 13-0 Alabama team or 13-0 Ohio St team. Or 13-0 Texas or Oklahoma team. The system just fails schools like Boise. I would love to see them in a tittle game but if I'm voting I don't think they get first dibs. It has to go to team from a BCS conference first if they have 0 or 1 loss. Cause the fact still remains if Boise St. was in the SEC they don't go undefeated every year like they do in the WAC. Look at how Alabama was pushed to the brink by Tennessee last year. Or how Texas was pushed by Nebraska. Boise got pushed by Va Tech but that is going to be it for the rest of the year. These other schools get pushed all year long. Alabama is about to play Penn St next week. Ohio St. is about to play Miami. This is BEFORE they go into conference play. Boise St. has been finding schools to play them, Oregon, Oregon St, Va Tech, the problem is when they get into conference play it becomes a cake walk.

If they do get in and play a Alabama and get rolled by 2 or 3 tds then all u hear is they didn't belong. But if they make it and win you'll neva hear the end of it

Shit like this is EXACTLY why D-I FBS needs a playoff......and settle all that "who belongs" shit on the field.......

Here's to hoping we never hear the end of it.

stopped reading right there... It's 2010 and we still don't know the difference between 'no' and 'know'?! Smh...

Anyway hell no they ain't gettin in over a 1 loss team from better conferences

lol...i saw that too...

this is why there needs to be a playoff ...it would solve all this nonsense about strength of schedule and conferences...college basketball manages to do it

Do muthafuckas realize that BSU plays nobody. They didn't deserve to be ranked that high from the start with.

under the current structure, no they shouldn't have a chance, b/c strength of schedule is one of the factors in determining who gets to play in the title game. It sucks, its not fair to punish a team that wins the games in front of them, especially when they have little control over the strength of their competition. Boise can play w/ any team in America and its sad they'll never get a chance to prove it in a title game

whenever they play against the elite teams they win so why not give them a chance.

Not all the time. They did get stomped by Georgia in 2005.

Under the current system I just don't see how you give them a shot over a team that did the same thing they did but against way better competition. Cause lets be serious for a second. There are a lot of teams out there that I can think of that could go undefeated playing Boise's schedule. Miami, Florida St, Va Tech, Georgia Tech, UNC (damn these are just ACC schools), Florida, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Ohio St, Penn St, Iowa. That's 17 schools that I just named off the top of my head that could easily go undefeated playing Boise St's schedule. All they would have to do is get passed one tough game at the beginning of the season then steam role everyone else.

This is why College football needs a play off. Let people earn it on the field. Cause the current system now just doesn't allow for a team like Boise who could very well be the best team in the country to actually prove it.

well considereing they've been this good for at least 4 years i say they've earned a right to play for the chip if they go undefeated...why is eveyone pointing to thier weak schedule when 1. they didn't make the schedule, but continue to play whatever team is on the schedule and 2. NO ONE is willing to play them(and they've agreed to travel ANYWHERE) even though their supposed to be considered a good team in a weak conference.....after playing a powerhouse in Oklahoma and beating them they've gotten better every year and this has to be the year that they get in regardless of thier schedule and what other teams (not in front of them like OSU and Ala) do with thier "stronger" schedule......i mean shit how many times do i need to see an overrated Ohio State team in the chip?...how many times do we need to see Texas play Alabama or Florida?..thank goodness USC got banned(prolly would've gotten a top 10 pre-season pick w/o it..regardless of the changes) for awhile now ESPN can concentrate on showcase ALL OF THE TEAMS in the pac-10

No a typo is any error made while typing. Obviously I know the difference between "know" and "no." I type at 50 words per minute. I don't proof read shit. I just type and post. When you do this errors are made. Get off my dick.

but you know that if Texas wins all their games they are going to leap frog Boise St. Same with Oklahoma. Or even Nebraska.

outside of Oklahoma who does Texas really have to play?...same with Oklahoma and Nebraska?(other than each other all three play 2 ranked opponets to BSU's 1..and again no one with a certified ranking year in and year out wants to play them)...the only thing BSU should've done was schedule this game later in the year so it's still fresh in peoples mind come December

Because the BCS system is extremely gay for that.

How many undefeated seasons does a team need for these fuckers to stop brushing them off?
