If A.I. was 6"2 or 6"3 would he have been a better player?

he'd do the exact same thing he did...his skill was based on his athleticism, ability to get to the rim and create space/knock down shots

that kind of play translates no matter the size of the player. He might have been a bit better but none of it matters, his career in the nba is pretty much over and barring some growth spurt, will never be 6'3...

If he maintained his speed and agility, yes. But that's a BIG if because most dudes @ 6'3, don't possess that speed and quickness AI had. Also, AI's game was 50% skill and 50% heart, it's hard to tell if that heart part of the equation would still be there. All in all, AI is the Greatest Small Man (under 6 feet tall) to ever play the game Isaiah is #2.

Even Jordan knew how special A.I. was....(pause....twice)

Yes. I said 6"2 or 6"3, not 6"8. If Rose is that size & fast as fuck, I dont see why people couldn't imagine A.I. being that size and keeping his speed.

But I think his height is exactly what made him so special. I've seen dude in the streets and in strip clubs, 5'10 might be pushing it.

He's in my top 5 all time favorites just because he was under 6' and totally dominated 95% of all games that he played in.

Kobe vs A.I. in the early 2000s would've been more interesting. A.I. was already shitting on Bean back then. A few more inches would've made it better competition.

SMH @ these two being polar opposites at the time. Demonic thug nigga from Bad News, Virginia and the clean cut, international son of a NBA star.

For whatever reason, niggas dislike Iverson. Maybe yall didn't watch Basketball 10 years ago, maybe yall were born in 1996 or maybe yall are just dickriders who only dickride who's hot at the moment. Niggas stan Derrick Rose like Iverson wasn't lightyears ahead of him at his prime.

.

i dont know if i've read a more false statement in my life.

thats exactly who LOVED/LOVES Iverson.

For the sake of the thread, just say he kept it.

A.I. is 5"11, 165lbs.

Rose is 6"3, 190lbs.

If A.I. had Rose's body, would he have been better?

You know Im a Kobe fan right?

That doesn't mean that I can't keep it funky about his competition. In the early part of the decade, Kobe wasn't the best perimeter player in the NBA. A.I. was. At that point, it was still arguable who was better between Bean-Tmac-VC-Pierce. Not to take anything away from Kobe's accomplishments, because usually I'm arguing in favor of dude, but he still played on the Lakers. LOL. He had luxuries that his peers did not. You put Kevin Garnett in Philly back in 2000-2005 and A.I. wins a ring or two.

you put kg on any other 1-4 seed of 01-05 and you get a title run or a championship caliber team. That doesn't mean shit blood lol.

like i said, hypothetical questions are alright but history is what it is...both men had crazy 2000 post jordan runs with a bunch of points, highights, and performances...but in the end, all we have is what we have. A.I. is old flabby and sick and kobe is old but still one of the best in the league while IVO can't get a run.

Point is wondering what a.i. would be if you rewrote history is not new thread worthy. what if he was 6'3 but had greg oden style career injuries? a lot of what ifs can be made all that matters though is what is and what is going to happen not what could have happen...

shit the pistons could of had wade/melo/bosh instead of darko, but we didn't...don't dwell on what could have been...

didn't the fans vote Iverson to multiple all-star games? wasn't his jersey one of the top sellers?

I have to say yes, or at least it would have gave him more longevity to be better. A.I.'s style didn't fit his build. By the time he was 5 years in, he was busted up. a little bit more size would have helped him hang around longer. At the end, he just had too many miles on his body.

I only said that because you brought up Kobe's success, like Kobe didn't play with Shaq, Gasol, Artest, Odom and Bynum.

A.I.'s prime was wasted with Eric Snow, Matt Geiger and Aaron McKie. It's not a fair comparison.

If A.I. got to play with the caliber of players Kobe got to play with (a Kevin Garnett, a Dwight Howard, a Tim Duncan), A.I. would've had some kind of post-season success indefinitely. He was almost as good as Bean in his prime. The year Bean went for 35 ppg, A.I. went for 33 ppg.

maybe he would have chosen to play football.

maybe he would have been an average player b/c the hunger he had was party due to his height. he wouldn't have had the same motivation to get better and better and to prove people wrong.

what if Kobe had stayed with the Hornets. then left at the end of his contract to join Shaq in LA. He would have been Lebron before Lebron was Lebron.

(2005 - 2006 Season)

Kobe - .450% FG, .347% 3PT, .850% FT, 5.3 Rebounds, 4.5 Assists, 1.8 Steals, .4 Blocks, 35.4 ppg
A.I. - .447% FG, .323% 3PT, .814% FT, 3.2 Rebounds, 7.4 Assists, 1.9 Steals, .1 Blocks, 33.0 ppg

Nigga was right with Bean at his peak....despite being as tall as Sheryl Swoopes.

so what are you arguing? that Kobe and Iverson have similar stats?

or that people dislike Iverson?

or that Iverson should be put up on the same pedestal as kobe?

or that if iverson was taller, he would have dominated even more?

or you just talkin basketball just cause
