Bizarre thing is: Since Cube rejuvenated his career with Laugh Now, Cry Later he being putting out good material. You can criticize War & Peace (which he had huge hits on) but he was arguably DOA before LN,CL came out.
Jay on the other hand hasn't been the same since 2004. American Gangster was his last widely accepted great album since Black Album. So he's become as inconsistent as Cube was during the W&P years.

But speaking of Ice Cube "so-called" fall off. He didn't have a Kanye West to keep his name out on the scene!! Without Mr. West Jigga would have fell off the face of the earth along side Cube!! And marrying the biggest R&B Diva(I'm sorry for that) helped him out tremendously to keep his name around!! P.S. I love Jay Z also!

lol you act as if Ye was someone in the business when jay started fucking with him. Just blaze and Ye were nobodies when jay took a chance with them. Kanye did not keep jay hot, he's put out successful shit without Ye like American Gangster and Kingdom Come. If Ye is so instrumental to jays success why did Bp3 sell twice the albums of Mbtdf? Why isn't big Sean, pusha or common as successful as jay?
