Let's just put this in perspective. There were a lot of great disses before and after "No Vaseline" but "No Vaseline" to me is........"The Blueprint" on how to make a diss record.

Hit em up is overrated as fuck, there is lots of hip hop diss tracks that are better to me with No vaseline probably being my favorite, when I was younger I would probably have had hit em up at the top but now I am older and see through the hype.

Fuck a group break up.."Hit em up" had niggas ready to die over shit. It was deeper than rap. Hit em up the best diss track of all time. I always say if "who shot ya" was really aimed at Pac, then that is by far the most personal and scathing diss of ALL TIME. Nothing comes close.

Why tear down one to promote the other? Both are great diss records. Both are in my top three, along with RMGs. I can understand arguments on both sides as to why one is better than the other.

A lot of lies in no vasline.

He kept saying they was E was fucking them. Literally.

But they the outlaws shouldn't have been on that track.

No vasline gets the slight edge

No Vaseline might very well be the better diss, but you don't get much more personal than telling a man you fucked his wife at the beginning of the song.

Pac's talking >>>>>>>>> pac verse's

Love how the IC stay shittin' on Pac every chance they get. First of all why even compare no vaseline to hit em up? One song was one nigga going at a whole group the other was a fuckin group diss. If we gon compare disses then Against All Odds is more suitable to No Vaseline. Both songs got them both going for dolo at multiple niggaz.

No Vaseline was tough but yall overhype that song and Ether too much and just dismiss Pac second verse which was harder than the first. Cube ripped MC Ren a new asshole he got it the worst, Eazy ain't even get it like him. SMH these IC niggaz man lol

Hitemup is the best diss song in hip hop....then its between ether and no vasoline

No Vaseline broke up a group and got Heller fired. Hit em Up is one bar that people remember lol stop it

Hitemup had a bigger impact in hip hop and much more emotion....much more scathing

Lol at emotions. Cube was speaking facts that anyone can check Pac made a statement that no one can confirm.

Facts>>>>>>>>>>

Thats cute...hitemup is a much better song and much more hard hitting even if its not facts

How does this make any sense?

I fucked ur bitch you fat mother fucker

Fuck bad boy as a staff, record label, and a ma fuckin crew

No one knows if pac fucked faith..probably did and the agression in his voice during the song is so venomous

Ray J said he saw Faith sitting on the nigga's lap in the studio. Most chicks don't get that comfortable wit u unless they in heat.

Hit em Up was raw as fuck a new level for diss records with a fire beat and is among the elite diss records but there are better diss tracks even from Pac...

Cube must not know that hit em up was made so deathrow east could destroy bad boy & anybody down with them......suge went too ny to meet wit Eric b & BD about deathrow east & they told suge the only way the label was gonna pop is if Tupac stopped making ny187 records saying fuk NY! ... So suge & Eric b called pac n Cali & told him 2 make hit em up & call out all the names of ny rappers he had a problem with....hit em up was going to be the start of a nu ny/eastcoast movement with deathrow east it was bigger then just dissing biggie it was about taking over a whole coast knocking out bad boy & that's y Craig mack was involved!

What you fail too realize is 2pac was the only ny/eastcoast rapper too b crowned king of the westcoast & that's what separate s & makes him greater then any other rapper n hip hop history.....im not saying pac is the greatest rapper ever but only Tupac could do a 1nation east & west album & he did it wit all his albums there was east & west rappers on all his albums including when he was on deathrow...

It being "more personal" doesnt make it better.

When hit em up dropped, shit shook the whole rap game up. Dude basically said fuck the whole eastcoast and anyone else fucking with biggie.

Beat was hard, pac energy on the track was crazy.

Ether the only diss harder than hit em up.
