I feel you on that. It was really raucous music like heavy metal is/was. The problem is it got played out, it should still be around today honestly. Even though I hated crunk, I also hate that its pretty much gone completely, I sort of miss the ratchet-ness.

I loved crunk music. Here are probably my 4 favorite rappers of all time: Biggie, Gucci Mane, Lil Jon, Chino XL

You have a underground dude who is ALL lyrics and punchlines...

You have a guy many consider the goat who is cool lyrically and made some of the best songs ever...

You have a guy who makes great songs / party music, whether you hate him or not

And you have lil jon, somebody who makes rowdy music and changed rap and is the king of crunk

The point is, I can appreciate every form of rap. Those trapped in one box just suck.

Waka sort of brough crunk music back, and you can always find some guys doing crunk under the radar.... Or if all else fails just go listen to the classics.. Nothing will ever top those anyway.
