Bumping this old thread. Yeah y'all sing the praises of perfect dark and it was a good game but GoldenEye was the father so bow down it was the first shooter inolayed that was more than just running around and shooting up shit there was objectives like spy photography stealing key cards off of officers and scientist, Receiving vital information. There were gameplay elements like stealth. The various details like the in one of the dam levels one of the enemy's offices were booby trapped. There was a replica helicopter on the desk and if you touched it you'd get blown to bits.
The silo stage was the shit. There was also tense moments like the underground bunker stage in Cuba where you had to escort and protect Natasha while she hacked into Janus mainframes. Bond had so many gadgets like his watch magnet etc. It wasn't just a shooter it was a true James bond experience. Night fire comes in second as a good bond game. Has anybody played golden eye Wii? It was good but the campaign was too short. The multiplayer online death matches was the shit though. I had fun until Wii connect got shut down.

Goldeneye was my shit. I fought my cousin Nd brothers behind that game many times. And that laser watch was crazy, I used to always try using it and it would never work but then when I got to that train part and finally got it to work I was amazed. Me & my cousin spent hours on that stage b4 finally figuring out that we had to use the watch to cut out an opening for our escape. Shit was GOAT!

I was amazed when I finally looked online to figure out to grab the golden gun on the last level. That shit was pretty advanced for N64.

GoldenEye Wii had promise. If only the campaign was longer. I got to the final level but when I found out the Wii connect service was discontinued because of the Wii u being released I lost interest because I played multiplayer most of the time. Same thing with Mario kart.

The controls was terrible tho and I had every peripheral for that machine.

Haha damn, I remember a whole crew of kids would meet up at someone's house and sleep over and play goldeneye all night taking turns on the controllers. Shit would get competetive af. Parents yelling at us to stfu lol
