I would not get the 80" TV yet as it is an 'entry' level model. If you want 3D or advanced features stick to 70". If you can afford it the Sharp Elite PRO-70X5FD is a great set but at 5K can be a bit much. The Panasonic TC-P65VT30 is a 65" which you can get for 2.5K and is an exceptional device.

DLP is your best bet when u get into those size TV's b/c they have the best picture quality, although there is a maintenance factor w/ them being that u have to buy a new bulb every four years or so. Don't get caught up into the LED hype b/c there just LCD tv's with a led backlight and they don't view as well when u get to bigger screen sizes. Mitsubishi is the best brand to go w/ as far as DLP's go and they're phasing them out so u can cop one for the ATL (all time low). The negative aspect is there is no 3D option with DLP's, but 3D is a little overrated IMO.
