It wasn't about autotune as much as it was about everybody being in the same lane at the time was fuckin up all the music. When he made DOA everybody was usin it with impunity. Kanye did a whole fuckin album with it, the widespread use was horrible, still is. If your name ain't Roger Troutman, or T-Pain. I think you should leave it alone for the most part. That's a lane that Roger stapled his career with, then T-Pain did the same. That don't mean you can their strength was in their songwriting/hook writing abilities and the auto tune was something that made them stick out more.
