Why not tho? T.I. torched the track "Swagger Like Us" and although it's a different type of song, if he held his own with Wayne (pre-skateboard), Kanye, and Hov, I don't see why he couldn't have done the same thing on "Made You Look".

Maybe when it comes to albums and overall songs. but I've never seen anyone say TI was a better rapper than Luda. Look at their verses on Stomp for an example.

Eminem laid his verse before Jay-Z did on Renegades, yet a large amount of people say Em had the better verse.

Em verse was recycled altogether and Hov still held his own on a song where they werent even competing against each other (Ala Jay n Big on BK's finest)....luda heard TI's verse and constructed his precisely and cleverly to go at TI....now if it was the other way around do you really think TI would've been cool with his verse or would've changed it up a bit after hearing his rival subliminaly diss him?

Yeah Luda focuses more on punchlines and metaphors while TI just spits his life on paper and tells better stories

Luda is a better MC, TIP makes better albums. I looked through this topic and all see are people talking about Luda being wack today and him being a "comedic" rapper despite the abundance of real shit he made.

I guess it helps the argument when you don't have to actually deal with the lyrics, where TI isn't a slouch at all, but if your argument FOR TIP is to say Luda is wack today (which people also say about Tip today as well, but I guess we changing our opinions to help our case), or that Luda is "comedic" as a diversion from his actual ability to rap...which is greater than Tip's then what you are doing really is grasping at straws.

Luda switched up his style and people didn't feel it...that's cool, same shit happened to Busta, and oddly enough it happened to TI too...or are niggas really banging No Mercy secretly? Didn't think so.

This is one of those things that turn into a popularity contest and totally not on topic. Luda got bars and he absolutely murdered Tip on 'Stomp'...I know..."But but Jono Luda heard Tip's verse first!!!" Stop it 5, Tip was sending shots at Luda long before 'Stomp' was recorded. Tip got at least a half dozen subliminal shots at Luda before 'Stomp' and shut his motherfuckin mouth after it....sounds like a point was proven to me.
