Luckily, if your responsible, you can have some fun in learning new things. Or you can fuck around and end up with watery bowels or alcohol induced vomiting. Possibly an unhealthy addiction and life damaging consequences.
Now that that's out the way... the main thing you're gonna need is money. Drinking is an expensive hobby. I averaged at least around $400 a month on alcohol in the past. And that's just from constant consumption.
But I'm a partying rolling stone type of nigga...
....so you ain't gotta worry bout that. But for real, have some spending money ready. Top shelf shit can go for $300 and more. That King Louis is some folks monthly income.
Anyway, my suggestion would be to start small. Just get you a half pint of whatever and a cup (preferably shot glass). The key here is to sip, not drink. In your mind you're just the flyest, blackest nigga in Georgia cooling out for a bit. You ain't gotta impress nobody, you ain't gotta drink like nobody, so just enjoy yourself. Find your comfort zone and just be. Music helps a lot.
Now of course you got the usually rule of thumb like eating and being in a good mood before partaking of the drug of your choice. You don't want that rot gut feeling and people that are angry while they're drinking.... they make really bad mistakes the most.
And it's not wise to mix white with brown. Meaning don't kill a vodka and then kill a cup of brandy. You're practically asking for your body to hate you later. Another thing bout hang overs, sleep is your friend. Once you learn and get use to it, you'll learn how to bend these rules as appropriate for yourself.
