I must sound like Malcolm X then.....

My point with this particular part of the thread is this language has been perpetuated in HipHop for decades now. Thisa is the same reason you had women groups, politicians, Doloris Tucker, etc etc denounce rap music because of its negative content. Nevermind the fact that this stuff is and always will be a part of our society. Doesn't mean it should be exploited and profitted from. I'm mean even a self conscious rapper named Common Sense has used this kind of verbage (a lil more intelligently if you can believe such a thing) in a couple of his songs. As long as greed and money propel this kind of behavior, status quo will not deviate.

1. Back then, they were denouncing swear words and the bold exposition of sexuality in general. This is vastly different from the straightforward promotion of prostitution, beating woman, and pimping.

2. Dolores Tucker (and them niggas, to coin a phrase) had been denouncing violence against women even before rap was on their radar.

2 Live Crew was revolutionary because they were explicitly talking about sex when it was taboo to do so.

Jackie Chain (and many rappers today) are talking about smacking "bitches" and taking one hundred percent of their ho-ing profits for no reason.

Remember them BET panel debates where TI and David Banner would defend their shit against Michael Eric Dyson and "them niggas" n shit?

I'd like to see Mr. Chain talk to Queen Latifah.

Shit, I'd like to see Latifah say anything political in 2011.

I'm talking about everybody who checks for rap.

Far as I can tell, Jackie Chain is a nigga.

why should it be an issue regardless???

any rapper should be allowed to rap about what they like
it's they're opinion and if we dont like it we can not support it

honestly if i had to pick between pimpin vs drugs i would easily side with pimpin

drugs pimp everyone while pimpin jus do what is gonna be done regardless......ho's gonna hoe
