Don't get what I'm about to say twisted, my thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Haiti. But the U.S. is not in a position to be helping other countries. In New Orleans, the levees have not been rebuilt and some neighborhoods still look like warzones. California is still recoverring from huge wildfires. We need to take care of ourselves before we go helping any foreign countries. Almost every other country in the world has come to expect the U.S.'s assistance and aid for every disaster, but where were these countries when Katrina hit the Gulf region? I'm not saying you should hold that against the people of these countries and I'm not talkin about just Haiti either. If an American individual can and wants to donate to/ help Haitians, I definately think they should. But as far as our government goes, there's a lot to be done here. And that should be a priority above anything else.

These numbers add up eventually.

To that ignorant dude below, there are "brownskinned" people in Haiti, I know them. I am what you would call a caucasian, but Haitians have always been nice to me. You ran into a couple of ignorant people, they exist everywhere! Big deal

Glad to see the number on the front page.
