Let me be clear tho, I don’t mind a chick liking certain songs. Good music is good music. Like if I put Midnight Mauraders in and it was her first time hearing it. If she liked the album that’d be cool with me because I can tell she knows good music. What im saying is I don’t want to pop that same cd in and have a chick say something like “go to track 8, Phife kills that one” or “Q-tip is better lyrically then Phife.” Etc etc

Now if I pop in some hood album, lets say Reasonable doubt, I don’t want my girl into that at all.

And like I said before, good music is good music…so just because I say Id think I struck gold if the girl didn’t know anything about rap…that doesn’t mean that the music she knows about will be bad, it’d just be different.

It still means she has good taste in music. It would be different if she was going on and on about Laffy Taffy or some ish like that.

Having similar taste in music is just another thing you would have in common with her.... that's not a bad thing if you are trying to have a good relationship with someone.

hey i love project pat. but i also love opera and classical music. seems like you have a negative view of what a "hip-hop head" chick is like. why would her lack of hip-hop knowledge make her more attractive?

Because a lot of hip hop “knowledge” is relative to an individuals opinion. A female knowing The name of an artists and their catalogue is one thing, why she knows it is another. Its like sports, im sure there are women out there with more football “knowledge” then some of the analysts they have hosting those NFL shows but why don’t you see them on there? Because most men don’t want to hear a womans perspective on something she lived or done….even if she may happen to know more about it then someone who has.
