Only hurricane I can ever really remember my fam riding out was Georges back in 98. That was a lightweight cat 1 but I remember my pops telling my mom and the man above that if we make it through this storm, then we'll never ride another one out. Sure enough, Katrina hit in 05 and we dipped. There's still towns in south MS that haven't fully recovered and Biloxi isn't the same pre Katrina.
