Not really my opinion, it's a simple life observation. God designed the world like that.

The point is those that like to just trust themselves and what they have tend to not be able to humble themselves enough even to enter Heaven. Yea, such a strength in character.

I think science and common sense disagrees with you here. Furthermore, generally speaking, Buddhists are some of the most humble people you will ever meet. More humble than an arrogant judgemental christian that says if you don't believe like I believe you will not make it to heaven.

The act of men being sent by God to write down the God given message He wanted them to write can be rightly counted as 'God wrote'.

no, it cannot be counted as "god wrote." Anyone can pick up a pen and paper and say god told me to do this. In that case, God has told thousands of people to go rape, kill, murder, and pillage...that's some god you have there. :tu

Oh well, like I said, you're bound by your convictions, and as long as your convictions are what they are, there is no way to unbind you, until you choose to be.

Each of us that has an awareness of good and evil also has freedom of choice. So therefore, this is non-sense^.

Everybody chooses to walk their own path, and folks with REAL strength of character don't let their emotions rule the direction they move in.

Right, someone chooses their convictions and are therefore bound to them, and they also choose not to have those convictions. If they weren't bound by their convictions, they aren't very convicted are they?

oh now of course we don't want to let un-scriptural examples of those claiming Christian get in the way of this argument.

Yea, i'm sure most buddhists are good people. At least by my standards. I'm sure the ones serious about their religion are doing the best they know how. However - and i know you said you don't believe in God, but still (i mean no offense) - according to God's Holy standard, even Buddhists need saving from sins.

Well yea...but who actually believes writings of people who do stuff like that??? Well, now that i think about it, 98% of the religious world does. I guess what they missed is that the writers of the BIBLE had the words of the message they gave confirmed by miraculous works, proving that it was from a Higher power.
