How's your scouting instincts?

I thought Matt Leniart and Brady Quinn would be busts....

The guy I was completely wrong on and as a DIEHARD Raiders fan Im SOOOOO glad I was.....Zach Miller. I wanted us to draft Alan Branch in the 2nd round of the 2007 draft, to help our run D issues and we traded down and got a 4.8 speed TE that wasn't even that special in college... I didn't think he would be that good. A decent blocking TE with a catch here and there....

I was as wrong as can be.....he has led the league among TE's in most 20+ yard catches the past 2 years and has had the longest catch of any TE the past 2 years. The guy just gets open.....And catches EVERYTHING. He has become one of my favorite players and if we let him go this offseason I will be VERY ANGRY.

Alan Branch has started to get more playing time in Arizona....but he is nowhere near the player Zach Miller is....

Clark is a more productive receiver by a bit (maybe that has to do with Manning being his QB) but Zach is a MUCH better blocker.....Gonzalez has fell off a bit...

I thought Brady Quinn was gonna be a bust (as with every other Notre Dame QB. Although they play a "pro-style offense", they don't play or have much competition and they still lose), but I will say I thought Matt was gonna be decent, if not good.

As for Zach Miller, I always thought he was nice @ ASU and would be pretty good in the league. Great size, good speed, good, hands, good blocking...... basically he does everything right! I still think the Raiders could involve him more in the passing game. I'm not at all a Raiders fan btw.

And it's the Raiders, of course they would fall for that..

it was stated during the draft if San Fran didnt take Rodgers he was gona drop like a muthafka cuz no other team needed a qb that bad .....

Yea I saw the draft and using the same hindsight you are I'm sure 20+ other teams didn't have a franchise qb like Rodgers then or now.

word... if anybody has the time right now, I'd like to see which teams passed him over and what QB they had at the time...
